Button challenge

This week was my week to post a challenge over at Life Preservers Club and I decided that I also wanted to challenge myself to do this. I've seen it a couple of times and have never done it. I finally did and here it is! I chose to cover a heart with all kinds of buttons. I love the results!! I know one of these days, Gracie will like it too! I want her to be able to look back and see what were some of her favorites at two.

Valentine's Day wreath

I finally got around to making this Valentine's Day wreath and I am proud to say that I love the outcome!! Isn't it wonderful and give you goose bumps when the image that's in your head comes out in physical form the exact the same? I am proudly giving myself a pat on the back for this one! I used my Cricut for all of the hearts. I cut out double of each heart and used popdots to give it dimension. The other embellishments are MM Rouge Paperie flowers and buttons and a circle/heart chipboard piece. I used my papers from my Color Me Daisy kit which are Basic Grey Bittersweet and American Crafts Romance. Thanks for looking!

Color Me Daisy's "Sweet Romance"

I received my first kit from Color Me Daisy and fell in love with everything! The papers are gorgeous, so are the buttons, the flowers, the bling, and all of it! And to think that I still have a little bit left over to play with. I got 3 layouts, 1 card, and a project done. I'm still planning on trying to make my grandmother a heart wreath with my leftovers. We'll see how it goes.

This first layout is of me and my sweetie! We've been married 8 years now and it has been nothing but wedded bliss! I'm am so blessed to have him as my husband and I thank God for him every day!!

Here is Chris opening his Valentine's Day gift last year. Yes, he's a teenager but he can still have his sweet moments. I try to have the camera ready to capture those moments to have them to look back at on the other days! (snicker!)

We decided the other day that we needed to make cupcakes just so mom could get pictures to do a layout with. I'm sure Josh and Gracie didn't mind getting a sweet treat out of the deal.

Not sure who's getting these next two but I'm sure someone special will!
