It's Friday!! I've got a B & B challenge!

TGIF!! How is everyone's Friday so far? Hopefully you are having a great one and enjoying all of this pretty spring weather! It has been very warm here in the great state of North Carolina and I have already done my spring cleaning and have put away all of my quilts (which is one of the first things I use to warm me during the cold months). But while I was putting them away I started really noticing some of the pretty patterns that my hubby's grandmother had created in the many quilts that she has so lovingly made for us. So that got me to thinking about some of the pretty patterns in the April kit that would make a great quilted scrapbook layout. So for your first challenge of the month, I want you to create a quilt pattern from your papers. Then add it to a layout, card, or other type project.

Let me first show you what I've created for this challenge.

I looked online for some quilt patterns and fell in love with this simple but beautiful pinwheel pattern. It may look difficult but it really wasn't! Let me give you quick tutorial to show you how easy.

Start by cutting up some of those super cute squares from the Lily Bee paper or just cut 1" squares from any coordinating pattern papers.

Then cut those little squares in half from corner to corner.

For the bigger squares, I cut 12 - 2" squares of cardstock. Then start adding the triangle pieces in your chosen pattern. Last step is to add to your layout! See? I told it was easy! I really hope you give this a try! If you do, link it up over at the Burlap & Buttercups blog and you could win a $15 gift certificate to the store!
