Today I have this layout up on the Practical Scrappers blog. The assignment.....to machine stitch on a layout. And oh how I love to pull my sewing machine out to give a little extra umph to my layouts and cards! So making this layout was a little too much fun for me.....if that's possible.
For the big machine stitched butterfly, I cut out a butterfly with the Cricut and then traced it onto my layout. Then I just ran it through my sewing machine following the lines. Well, actually I ran it though twice. The same goes for the outline stitching but I only stitched one line.
These papers are the beautiful Momenta Kaleidoscope collection and they quickly became my favorite papers to work with but this time I used little bits and pieces so the focal point would be the picture of my beautiful baby girl and the butterflies.
Hope you like it and that it inspires you to pull your machine out and give your own pages some stitched umph!! :)
Thanks for stopping by!!
