Imaginisce and Xyron teaming up for Easter!

All this week Imaginisce and Xyron are teaming up to bring you some gorgeous works of Easter art! I have been using Xyron products for what seems like forever now. I have my little X shaped Create-a-sticker sitting right at my fingertips and use it all the time. So I was so excited when I received the 2.5" Create-a-sticker plus the new Glue Stick to work with for this team up!!

Here are the Xyron Products I used on my projects today:

For my project, I made this adorable Easter pillow box that would be perfect to give as a sweet little treat to a teacher, friend, or co-worker.

To start, I searched through all my Imaginisce papers to come up with some great Easter colors. I decided to go with this Good Dog striped paper, a Good Dog die cut, Hippity Hop for the basket, and Love You More for the Easter egg.

I used my Silhouette to cut out these two pieces to create the egg and ran them both through the Create-a-Sticker so that both backs would be sticky.

The basket was also created with the Silhouette which I used the Xyron Glue Stick to apply adhesive to the sides of the basket so that it would be an open basket that you could put things in.

Next I ran a couple of pieces of ribbon through the Create-a-Sticker. Talk about making it easier to apply ribbon!!

Add a couple of embellishments and you are ready to give your sweet treat away! But only after you've filled it with some yummy candies!!

Supplies Used: Imaginisce Good Dog (patterned papers, Die Cuts), Hippity-Hop (pattern paper), Love You More (pattern paper), Pop Up Posies, I-Rock tool, Hot Rocks, Lighted Tweezers
Other supplies: SRM clear pillowbox, The Twinery twine, Ribbon from Michaels, Silhouette Cameo

Also, be sure to stop by MarciaRegina's, Imaginisce, and Xyron blogs for more inspiring projects!!

let your heart have wings.....a Jillibean Soup sketch

TGIF!! Yay!! It's the weekend! I'm back for the 3rd day in a row.......CRAZY I know! I've really been in a scrappy mood lately and I'm loving it!

Today I wanted to share a layout I created for the Jillibean Soup March sketch challenge. I LOVE me some Jillibean Soup papers, stickers, die cuts...all of it!! So instead of hoarding it I decided to put it to work. Here is the lovely sketch from Nicole Nowosad....

And here is the layout I created...

....let your heart have wings.

I LOVE these pics of my sweet baby girl. I am amazed at her beauty and not only is it on the outside, she has a beautiful heart too! She is so kind, thoughtful, helpful, and just all around so sweet! She has earned the name "little momma". She takes care of us all! Even me. And I just love her for it!!

The "love u" heart is a little something I created with my Silhouette.  I highlighted one of the inside hearts to recreate the shape and used the Allura font and welded the words inside the heart. I seriously have no idea what I would do without my Silhouette!

Supplies Used:

Winter Tortellini & Spinach Soup - Fresh Baby Spinach, Stewed Tomatoes, Cheese Tortellini, Garlic Flakes, cardstock stickers, die cuts

Blossom Soup – cardstock stickers, pea pod die cuts

Sweet & Sour – Tomato Sauce, Raisins, Soup Labels

Dutch Mustard Soup – Wholegrain Mustard

Other supplies:
The Twinery twine, Silhouette, Smash date stamp, Studio G button

Alrighty....that's it for me today! Hope you enjoyed my latest creation! Have a great weekend!!

Believe in Yourself....follow your dreams card

As promised...I'm back today with a card that I created from the Artful Delight card sketch!! From the first moment I saw the March kit I knew it would be amazing to work with but the more I work with it I am finding it MORE amazing to work with! I know I'll be crying when I run out! :( But then again, I know I'll have another amazing kit to work with!

So here is the card sketch....

And here is the card I made. It started out going to be just a regular "I'm thinking of you" card but while I was working on it I kept thinking of my niece and the fact that she is graduating high school this year. I love the little journal card that says "believe in yourself" and I wanted to gear it more towards her future so I pulled out my SRM stickers! I knew exactly which stickers I wanted to add to this card to get my message across!!

So there ya go!! Hope you like it! I know my niece will because she tells me all the time she is my biggest fan.....I LOVE that girl so much!!! I'm her biggest fan too!

Happy Day to all!!

Prom Memories and Artful Delight

Happy Wednesday! And a happy first day of Spring! It's not warm and it's not too cold here in Charlotte and I'll take that! After seeing friends posting pictures on FB of all the snow they have today....I am NOT complaining!! Lol!!

Today I wanted to share with you something I am excited about! It seems like forever since I've been a part of a kit club and I've missed it dearly!! So I joined a club called Artful Delight and I couldn't be more excited and giddy about getting that box in the mail every month!! And can I say their kits are just that....an artful delight!! I just got the March kit and decided I wanted to challenge myself with their layout sketch. I'm gonna do the card sketch and will get that posted here in the next couple of days because I love it too! But first of all, I wanted to share a picture of the March scrapbook kit because it is full of deliciousness!!

Loving all of the Teresa Collins stuff along with all of the fabulous embellishments that Leeanne paired up! Yum! Yum!!

Here is a look at the beautiful sketch that Debbie created for us!

And here is my layout I made using the March kit....

As soon as I tore into my box and saw the colors and patterns I knew this kit would be perfect to scrap a picture that I've been holding on to until I had the right papers! This is my son and his girlfriend before going to prom last year. Aren't they a good looking couple?!?! Sadly, they are no longer together. :( But anywhoo... I love this layout and how it turned out! All of the papers and embellishments compliment the picture nicely!

And here are some close ups.....

I also got the November kit and used this Crate Paper On Trend sticker as part of my title.

Alrighty....that's it from me today. Stop by the Artful Delight store and take a look around. Leeanne has a few kits that are on sale that are a GREAT price plus they still have a few of the March kits left.

Thanks for stopping by today!!

It's time for some Endless Summer from Imaginisce

Who's ready for SUMMER?!?! I know I am! Yes....I know I have a while to wait considering the first day of Spring is tomorrow. But while I'm waiting I'll just play around with some Summer pictures which is what I've been doing getting ready for this week which is the Endless Summer release party over on the Imaginisce blog

Hooray For Summer!

I love the fun bright colors of the Endless Summer Collection! I especially love that they are the perfect colors to bring out the colors in my summer fun photos. For my layout, I chose to document a day on the lake which is pretty much what our summers are like. Some sporadically placed photos, some Endless Summer chipboard pieces, some Sticker Stacker pieces, and some Glam Rocks and you’ve got the perfect summer layout!

Supplies Used: Imaginisce Endless Summer (patterned papers, Sticker Stackers, Die Cuts, Chipboard Stickers), I-Rock tool, Hot Rocks, Glam Rocks, Lighted Tweezers, Foam Tape
Other supplies: The Twinery twine, Sakura white pen, Mr. Huey Mist, Maya Road Mist, Silhouette Cameo

2012 Summer Loving' flip-flop mini

When I saw the Endless Summer collection I knew I wanted to document our Summer of 2012! And what better way to document the highlights of the summer than to make a mini album! I chose this flip-flop mini shaped album which I feel is a great summer icon. And there are so many great pieces to the Endless Summer collection for each event like the sun (of course!!), B-B-Q foods, water, ice cream, and the oh-so-yummy watermelon! I’m already waiting impatiently for this summer!!

Supplies Used: Imaginisce Endless Summer (patterned papers, Sticker Stackers, Die Cuts, Chipboard Stickers, Snag ‘Em stamps), Childhood Memories (alphas), I-Rock tool, Hot Rocks, Glam Rocks, Lighted Tweezers, Foam Tape, Offray ribbon
Other supplies: Sakura white pen, Silhouette Cameo

Blinging it up with the I-Rock!!

We're blinging it up all this week over on the Imaginisce blog! If you've never seen the I-Rock tool then you must swing by to get a look at the projects made by the DT girls! I made a layout for my project but there are blinged out hats and doggie outfits and other layouts that are just gorgeous! Come check it out!! Also, they are giving away 1 I-Rock tool, 1 Compact, and 1 tube of Glam Rocks so be sure to leave a comment each day for your chance to win!!

"Bubble Fun"

I LOVE that the Childhood Memories collection has some “bubble” elements in it because I have so many pictures of my kids playing in bubbles! Who doesn't? Playing in bubbles is such a fun part of being a kid! For my layout I wanted to replicate all of the bubbles and all of the fun colors that are in my daughter’s bathing suit.

I created 3 different types of bubbles. The first I used a small circle punch and punched out the medium sized bubbles from the patterned paper, the second type was made from gluing down twine in a circle, and the third is simply stamping with the Bubbles stamp. I love that the Hot Rocks were the perfect touch for the shine on all the bubbles and they were so easy to apply!

Supplies Used: Imaginisce Childhood Memories (patterned papers, alphas sheet, sticker stackers, Bubbles stamp), Good Dog (patterned paper), Makin’ Waves (patterned paper), I-Rock tool, Glitter Hot Rocks, Jewel Hot Rocks, Lighted Tweezers
Other supplies: Bazzill cardstock, The Twinery twine, Elmers white pen, Silhouette Cameo

I can't say enough about this tool.....it's fun and it really adds a lot to projects! So be sure to head over to the Imaginisce blog and leave comments this week!

Page Maps!! and a sketch challenge!

TGIF!!! So happy it's Friday!! And I could not be more thrilled to say that I finally get to check one of the items off of my scrappy bucket list!! For the longest time I have admired Becky Fleck's Page Maps and I have dreamed of designing for her and my dream has finally come true! For the month of March the Imaginisce DT girls are being featured. How cool is that?!?!?

I got this beautiful 8 1/2 x 11 sketch to work with.....

Normally I am a 12 x 12 scrapper but for the chance to work with Becky I would have scrapped any size!! :) And here is what I did with it!

For You With Love

I used the Love Your More collection for my layout....love the grey and pink combo! This layout documents the box of candy my daughter got from her "boyfriend". They are only in Kindergarten but they are just so sweet together! I don't know that I would be on board with this relationship if I didn't know and adore his family! Lol!!

I also used a couple of the fabulous Imaginisce tools like the I-Rock tool to apply lots of Glam Rocks and Gems and the I-Top tool to create the heart brad!

The last thing I used on my layout is the washi tape from the Love You More collection. I applied it to some white cardstock and cut out a tag and then also used a long strip for the border on the right hand side.

And next up I wanted to share the new March sketch challenge from Imaginisce and another talented sketch artist Diana Fisher!!

Here is her sketch and the layout I created for it....
