*Birthday Cake* Treat Bag tutorial with PLS

I'm back today with a quick tutorial on how to make these quick and cute treat bags to hand out to your party guests. But before I get into that I just want to thank Pretty Little Studio for letting me be their Guest Designer!! I loved working with them and all of the adorable products I was sent to play with!! I still have some left that I will be playing with in the near future! So be on the look out for some more PLS stuff from me!

Ok, back to my treat bags......Once I had the design in mind it took no time at all to get these babies put together!

1. Gather your supplies...I used the Cupcake and Coffee Cake papers along with the Party Time Note Strips, Birthday Cake Fold Over Tabs, Glassine bags (SRM) some washi tapes, buttons, and an "enjoy" stamp.

2. Trim papers to hang 1/4" over the left and right sides of your glassine bags and enough to cover 2" for the front and back sides. So for example...my glassine bag measures 4 3/4" width and 7" length so I cut the papers at 5 1/4" x 4 1/2".  Before you fold the papers to create the topper use a border punch on the front side to give it more of a creative feel to it. Then fold in half with a bone folder and some type of card making tool. Add your washi tape(s) and stamp a sentiment on the Note Strips.

3. Add candies to the bag and staple your topper and extras on.

4. Add a button to cover up the staple and YOU'RE DONE!! I told you this was going to be quick and easy!

And here is the finished product. Just imagine how cute and adorable these would look sitting on the birthday table!!

  1. Oh my gosh! I love these little bags. I need to find out where to buy some because I'd like to make some for my Bible study friends.
