SRM and The Twinery

Happy Thursday to all! I'm here today because SRM stickers and The Twinery will be paired up today and tomorrow to show off some beautiful projects that both DT's have created! Be sure to visit both blogs as both are having some fabulous giveaways!

For my project, I decided to do a layout about my sweet baby girl. I captured these pictures of her and just fell in love with them as they truly show off her personality. She is sweetness mixed with a little bit of sass.

For my use of The Twinery twine, I chose to make some crocheted flowers. The centers are Buttercream and for this particular flower, the outside is Lemondrop.

And for this flower, I again used Buttercream for the center and Carribean for the outside. I also used Honeydew to make a cross stitched border.

Here I've used the Buttercream again to make a simple double bow.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope I inspire someone to pull out their twine and some SRM stickers and create something beautiful!

Treasured Moment

Happy Sunday to all! It's a rainy yucky day here today.....Blah.....but it does make for a great scrapping day! Gotta love that! :)

Today I have a layout made with the gorgeous Momenta Kaleidoscope collection. This is my favorite Momenta collection! I just love the colors and patterns! They are so happy and spunky..... just like my little girl. My layout is highlighting a very special day, the day she decided she was going to ride her bicycle for the very first time. As a mom, I was worried and was right there with her waiting to catch her fall. But she really surprised me! She jumped on it and took right off. I guess the training wheels are there for a reason!

For this layout, I used one of the Momenta Flutter cards to show that cards can be used for other uses. I opened the card flat and layered my pictures on it and used the corner for some journaling. I love that these adorable cards have the glittered scallop edges that blend in so perfectly with the Kaleidoscope collection!

What I love about U today

Today I'm here to show you the last of my projects made with the gorgeous April kit from Burlap & Buttercups. I had these pictures of my middle baby who is just full of imagination. He called me up to his room one day to show me this little creation he came up with. Not sure if he was really trying to creative or if he was just bored! Lol!! But it was so cute and was very picture worthy!

The thing that jump started this layout was the those fabulous tags from Ormulu. I knew I wanted them to be the highlight of the layout. I backed them with some pattern paper and then cut them to be banners.

And a card I made with my favorite color palette! Love, love, love yellow, light blue, and navy together! So pretty!  And I was so happy to dig through my SRM stash to find these stickers which were the perfect touch and sentiment!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday! Until next time......

Luv seeing this!

Happy Friday again! Seems like I just typed those words just yesterday! This past week has all been a big blur for me. The sinus infection bug has found it's way to me once again and really had me down. Hate that old nasty bug! I really wish he'd lose my address and leave me alone!! :)

So anyway! I wanted to share one of my newest layouts made from the Burlap & Buttercups April kit. One of the first things that caught my eye when going through my kit were these colors. I am a huge fan of them! And I loved them even more when I remembered this picture of my youngest 2 sweethearts in a rare moment.

There is a fabulous bottle of Maya Road Sunflower Yellow mist in the add on kit which is what I used (along with a stencil) to make these sweet little misted hearts! I also pulled out some other colors of mists to give the splattered look.

Ahhh....I love it when sweet pictures meet up with the sweetness of a fabulous kit!!  Which speaking of is on sale! I don't think it has sold out yet. But be sure to pick one up quickly because they have been going fast!

It's Friday!! I've got a B & B challenge!

TGIF!! How is everyone's Friday so far? Hopefully you are having a great one and enjoying all of this pretty spring weather! It has been very warm here in the great state of North Carolina and I have already done my spring cleaning and have put away all of my quilts (which is one of the first things I use to warm me during the cold months). But while I was putting them away I started really noticing some of the pretty patterns that my hubby's grandmother had created in the many quilts that she has so lovingly made for us. So that got me to thinking about some of the pretty patterns in the April kit that would make a great quilted scrapbook layout. So for your first challenge of the month, I want you to create a quilt pattern from your papers. Then add it to a layout, card, or other type project.

Let me first show you what I've created for this challenge.

I looked online for some quilt patterns and fell in love with this simple but beautiful pinwheel pattern. It may look difficult but it really wasn't! Let me give you quick tutorial to show you how easy.

Start by cutting up some of those super cute squares from the Lily Bee paper or just cut 1" squares from any coordinating pattern papers.

Then cut those little squares in half from corner to corner.

For the bigger squares, I cut 12 - 2" squares of cardstock. Then start adding the triangle pieces in your chosen pattern. Last step is to add to your layout! See? I told it was easy! I really hope you give this a try! If you do, link it up over at the Burlap & Buttercups blog and you could win a $15 gift certificate to the store!

Spring Banner using SRM stickers

Is everyone enjoying some Spring time weather?!?! I sure hope so because it has been absolutely beautiful here in sunny North Carolina! Which has put a bounce in my step and wanting to decorate my house by bringing a little bit of the outdoors inside.

I created this "SPRING" time banner to hang up on our mantle. The SRM stickers gave it the perfect touch and sentiment! I love that the stickers and the My Mind's Eye paper compliment each other.
