Halloween goodies to share today!

Today up on the SRM blog is my Trick or Treat Have a Sweet bag filled with the oh so delicious Hershey's Pumpkin Spice Kisses. The assignment was to decorate a bag and I wanted my bag to sit up so I created this box for it to sit in. I added some of the new borders on the box and a tag which I turned into a banner for the Boo! For the pieces sticking out of the bag I searched through the kitchen and found these bamboo skewers. A perfect fit!!

While on the Halloween crafty kick, I decided to spice up this lantern that holds a little tea candle, which I found in the dollar bin at Target. I pulled out my new Imaginisce Monster Mash papers and die cuts to adorn it. I LOVE it!! And it's now sitting on my mantle for all to see!

And here are two of my sweet kiddos. Last night kicked off our two weeks of Halloween dinners. We had pumpkin pie (which is actually chicken pie). They weren't too sure they wanted to eat "pumpkin pie" until they saw that it was just chicken pie in the shape of a jack-o-lantern. I'll be posting more pics of our Halloween dinners and hoping that you find them cute enough to fix for your family! :)

Thanks for checking in to see what's going on in my little part of the world!

Give Thanks.....Imaginisce October contest

Happy Monday! I wanted to share with you my layout that I created for the Imaginisce October monthly challenge. The rules are to use 75% Imaginisce products and this color scheme (which I LOVE!!).

And here is my layout.....Give Thanks. I used mostly their new Monster Mash papers and die cuts but I did throw in a paper from Animal Crackers and a couple of the Apple Cider chip board pieces.

I also added a lot of hand stitching and machine stitching....my favorite thing to do to layouts and cards!

Add in some pearls, twine, and ribbon....and I'm very happy with the results!!

Thanks for taking a look! :)

Life Documented 12 x 12 SRM calendar

It is getting to be that time of year where the craftiness really starts to kick into full gear for me! Aside from all of the usual layouts and cards, I start thinking about and making a few Christmas gifts. Today I have a 2013 calendar to show you that I made which is one of those gifts. Not going to say who it's for because I do believe she looks at my blog every once in a while so she might get a sneak peak of her Christmas gift. ;)

If you love SRM stickers like I do then you are going to love this calendar because it is FILLED to the brim with them! I was told I may have set a new record for all of the SRM stickers I used in this one project! So.....here we go!

Tonight my niece (a Senior) who is in the band at her high school is going to be recognized during half time for all her hard work. And then Sunday, my little brother is finally getting married!! It's about time! LOL! So this weekend will probably be filled with many tears and heartfelt congratulations for both! I can't wait!! :) Hope everyone else has a wonderful weekend!

I will honor Christmas layout - SRM Stickers

Happy Monday! Hoping everyone had a great weekend whether it was out and about enjoying this beautiful Fall season or just staying at home relaxing which is what we did! Love those weekends when you can chill!

Today I wanted to share a Christmas layout that is dear to my heart. I am one of those who enjoy every holiday to the fullest! And I want to rub off on my children so they pass on the same experiences with their future families. So this layout is dedicated to them!

For this layout, I used a whole sheet of the new Tiny Calendar stickers from SRM along with the new Christmas Border stickers which are so much fun to use on any Christmas project!!

One of my favorite borders is the banner and the Christmas one is no exception! LOVE the patterns on it!

Well, that's it for me today! :)

My Imaginisce "Welcome Autumn" pumpkin

Update: I am so stinkin thrilled to report that I won the Create with Imaginisce contest!! There were so many wonderful entries I wasn't sure I even had a chance. But they chose my sweet little pumpkin and now I have this awesome Imaginisce I-tool prize pack on it's way to me!! I can't wait to use all of it!!

Happy Friday!! I want to share with you my newest Fall decoration that is beautifully adorning my table as soon as you walk through the front door. I saw a contest on the Create blog calling for a project using Imaginisce products and I jumped right on it! So here it is.... along with a few instructions if you'd like to make one yourself.

To start, I used my Cricut machine and Cricut Craft Room to stretch out the oval shape from George & Basic Shapes cartridge and cut out 7 of these pieces. I know I only have 5 in the picture but I later realized that I would definitely need 7 pieces. Ahhhh.... the beauty of scrapbooking! ;)

Then I adhered long strips of orange ribbon to each piece.

For the middle piece (which holds everything together), I used one of my SRM tubes. I believe it's the shorter 5" tube. I trimmed some of this adorable pumpkin paper to fit inside of the tube.

Then started to assemble all of my pieces together to end up with....

this!

After I let the adhesive dry I started creating the top.  The stem was created by cutting a piece of the brown polka dotted paper to measure 4" by 10". I ran some water over it and crumpled it gently to break down the fibers so I could easily mold it and bend it. I rolled it up and glued it shut and then shaped the top to create a slight curve. Using the same technique, I wrapped a strip of green paper around a pencil to make the curly part of the vine. The other part of the vine I cut off of a crystal flower piece. Then I glued everything down.

After all of that was dry and secure, I made a bow using 4 pieces of twine, took another piece of twine and tied it around the bottom of the stem so I could tie on the leaves which were cut using my Cricut and the Doodlecharms cartridge. Lastly, I glued my twine bow on and it ended up looking like this! I for one am loving this sweet little pumpkin!

Thanks for stopping by today! :)
